Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SKATNET ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use skatnet.com (the "Service").
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
The Service is operated by Tatiana Ayueva, trading as SKATNET, Limassol, Cyprus (sole proprietor).
Contact for all privacy matters: info@skatnet.com
2. What data we collect
Account data. When you sign up: your email address and a password (stored in hashed form).
Report inputs. Property parameters you enter or listing links you paste (city, area, size, price, and similar property characteristics), and the reports generated from them. These describe properties, not people, but they are linked to your account.
Payment data. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number. We receive only confirmation of payment, the plan purchased, and billing country.
Newsletter data. If you subscribe to our email updates: your email address.
Technical and usage data. IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions in the Service may be collected for security, debugging, and operating the Service. Separate traffic and analytics tools are described in section 8.
We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18. The Service is not directed at minors.
3. Why we process your data (legal bases under GDPR)
- Providing the Service — creating your account, generating and storing your reports: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Processing payments and subscriptions: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Sending the newsletter: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
- Security, fraud prevention, and debugging: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Improving the Service using aggregated, non-identifiable usage patterns (including Vercel Analytics traffic measurement): our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Google Analytics 4 (pages visited and related technical/device data), only if you accept analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you can withdraw it at any time via Cookie preferences.
- Responding to your requests: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under data processing agreements, in the following categories:
- Hosting and cloud infrastructure providers (website and database hosting);
- Payment processing: Stripe;
- Email delivery provider (account and newsletter emails);
- Vercel Analytics (traffic measurement on our website);
- Google (Google Analytics 4), only if you have accepted analytics.
We do not sell personal data and do not use the Service for advertising or remarketing. We do not share personal data with advertisers.
Google Analytics may process usage, device, and technical data according to Google’s terms and privacy policy for that service.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep data
- Account data and report history: for as long as your account is active, and up to 12 months after deletion or prolonged inactivity, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Payment records: as required by Cyprus tax law (currently up to 6 years).
- Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
- Technical logs: up to 12 months.
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time (see section 6).
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).
To exercise any right, email info@skatnet.com. We respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, Republic of Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy).
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.
8. Cookies, local storage, and analytics
Strictly necessary. We use cookies and similar storage that are needed for the Service to function — for example, keeping you logged in (authentication) and remembering your cookie/analytics preference. The core Service (including estimates and reports) works if you choose “Necessary only”.
Vercel Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to measure website traffic (for example, which pages are viewed). This is separate from Google Analytics.
Google Analytics 4. We may use Google Analytics 4 only after you choose “Accept analytics”. Until then we do not load the Google Analytics tag and do not send GA4 pageviews. If you accept, Google may process usage, device, and technical data as described in Google’s documentation and privacy policy for Analytics. We do not enable Google advertising or remarketing features, and we do not send names, email addresses, listing URLs, or report contents to Google as analytics events.
Your choice. On first visit we ask whether to allow analytics. You can decline analytics and still use the core Service. You can change your choice later via Cookie preferences in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops further Google Analytics collection from this browser; it does not delete data Google may already have processed.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The current version is always available on this page with the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email.
